12 month contractWe are hiring an Agile Coach located in JHB.Overview:The Agile Coach is responsible for driving the successful adoption and continuous improvement of Agile practices across teams and business units. This role involves mentoring Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and development teams, as well as influencing leadership to foster an Agile mindset throughout the organization.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.), exceptional facilitation and coaching skills, and proven experience helping organizations scale Agile ways of working.Key Responsibilities:Coach and mentor Agile teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners to improve delivery efficiency, collaboration, and performance.Support teams in implementing and refining Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc.) and ensure they deliver value.Work closely with leadership to promote an Agile culture and mindset across the organization.Guide teams through Agile transformations, including adoption of tools, metrics, and best practices.Identify and remove organizational impediments that impact delivery.Drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and retrospectives.Partner with HR, PMO, and IT functions to align Agile adoption with business objectives.Develop and deliver Agile training and workshops for teams and stakeholders.Advocate for servant leadership, collaboration, and transparency.Required Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe, LeSS, etc.).Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.Proven ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.Experience using Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Miro).Analytical mindset — able to use metrics and data to drive improvements.Ability to manage resistance and navigate organizational change.Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).5+ years’ experience in Agile environments, with at least 2 years as an Agile Coach.Prior experience as a Scrum Master, Delivery Lead, or Project Manager in Agile teams.Certification(s) such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or equivalent highly advantageous.Experience with Agile transformation initiatives in large enterprises or multi-team environments preferred.
