The Opportunity We are recruiting for a Data Analyst to join our Rapid Diagnostics – Toxicology Business.

As a Data Analyst you would be based in Abbott’s site in Abingdon, Oxfordshire and would report to the Director of IT & Business Change. What You’ll DoAs a Data Analyst you will be responsible for actively identifying trends and providing internal stakeholders and external clients with information to improve operational and business practices. In this role you will liaise with finance, commercial and operational colleagues to identify, gather and analyse data and make insights accessible through easy to interpret reports, graphs and tables.

More SpecificallyUse business analytics reporting tools; prepare management information (MI) reports and present as required both internally and to clientsCommunicate with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirementsApply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisationCreate and deliver internal reports to analyse and report insightsPerform statistical analysis of dataUse data mining to extract information from data sets, and identify correlations and patternsUse data to predict trends in the existing customer base and customer population as a wholeIdentify and recommend opportunities for cost efficienciesMonitor and audit data qualityRequired Qualifications/ProfileDegree qualification or equivalent in a relevant field such as mathematics, economics, statistics or computer engineeringIn depth knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniquesA strong understanding of data sources, data organisation and storageKnowledge of relevant relational databases such as SQLExcellent IT literacy; experience of business analytics platforms such as QlikView and Power BI requiredPrevious experience in a data analyst office-based role.
