Job Description

Abdi İbrahim Remede Pharm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Director to lead one of our key manufacturing facilities. This site specializes in the production of solid, liquid semi-solid pharmaceuticals and provides contract manufacturing services to global clients. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing plant operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining quality standards, and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced and complex manufacturing environment. Key ResponsibilitiesLead all plant operations including production, quality assurance, engineering and maintenance and planning. Ensure efficient, safe, and compliant manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.

Ensure full compliance with GMP, national and international regulatory standards Drive productivity, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Oversee contract manufacturing operations, ensuring on-time delivery, confidentiality, and quality expectations for partner clients. Manage plant budgets, cost optimization plans, and capital expenditure projects. Build, lead, and develop a high-performing cross-functional team. Promote a proactive Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) culture and ensure all safety standards are met or exceeded. Collaborate with senior leadership to align plant goals with broader company strategy and objectives.

Support tech transfer and scale-up of new products and formulations in collaboration with R&D and technical teams. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 15+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in plant or site leadership roles. Proven experience managing operations in solid, liquid, and semi-solid pharmaceutical forms. Familiarity with contract manufacturing operations and client management in a GMP environment. Deep understanding of regulatory requirements including GMP and local regulations. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical production technologies (granulation, coating, mixing, filling, packaging). Proficient in production planning, capacity management, and operational budgeting.

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, validation processes, deviation & CAPA management. Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP)Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence tools. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
