Company Description Abivax is a clinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to developing therapeutics that utilize the body’s natural regulatory mechanisms to stabilize immune responses in chronic inflammatory diseases. Currently, Abivax is in Phase 3 clinical trials for its lead drug candidate, obefazimod, aimed at treating moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis. The company plans to initiate a Phase 2a clinical trial of obefazimod for Crohn’s disease. Obefazimod, an investigational, daily oral therapy, is unique in its ability to enhance the expression of microRNA-124 (miR-124), a natural regulator of inflammation, potentially establishing a new therapeutic class known as miR-124 enhancers.
Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL). The Medical Science Liaison will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), providing scientific and medical information to healthcare professionals, supporting clinical trials, and contributing to the development of medical strategies. The MSL will also engage in scientific exchange with external experts and provide insights on emerging scientific and clinical data.
Qualifications Expertise in inflammarory bowel disease strongly preferred munumum of 3 years expedience as a medival science liasonAbility to comtribute across medical affairs functions including but not limited to medical communicaduons, medical informatiom, publications, patient advocacy, and medical operatiomsRequires 50-75% travelExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and remotely in a fast paced and ambiguous environmentAdvanced degree in medical or life sciences (MD, PhD, or PharmD)Proven experience in developing and maintaining professional relationships with KOLs and clinical trial investigators
