Main Duties And ResponsibilitiesAir conditioning servicesServices air conditioning systems, including direct digital control building controls, pneumatic systems, cooling systems, refrigerators, and water coolersConducts maintenance activities and inspections of HVAC systemsCleans evaporator drain pans, coils, and filtersLubricates fan and motor bearingsRepairs or replaces motors, electrical wiring, belts, compressors, thermostats, and fansTests equipment using instruments and gauges (e.g., volt-ohm meters) and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, pumps, and controls based on readingsRepairs piping connections, valves, couplings, and fittings using hand tools, drill press, brazing, welding, soldering, and related methodsPlumbing servicesInstalls, maintains, and repairs pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures within campus structuresPerforms welding and fitting works on high-pressure pipes and tanksInspects plumbing and drainage systems inside buildings for preventive maintenanceCoordinates plumbing tasks with contractors, electricians, and other professionalsOther TasksPerforms other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or authorized representativesKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesKnowledgeAdministrative procedures: Familiarity with office processes, documentation, and form designCustomer and personal service: Understanding of customer needs, service quality, and satisfactionBuilding and construction: Knowledge of construction methods and plumbing-related repairsDesign principles: Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and plansMechanical systems: Understanding of machine functions, maintenance, and repairSkillsTime management: Effectively manages personal time and schedules tasksCoordination: Adjusts actions in relation to others and works well with teamsService orientation: Proactively looks for ways to assist clients and stakeholdersSocial perceptiveness: Aware of others’ reactions and understands interpersonal dynamicsEquipment maintenance: Conducts routine upkeep and identifies when repairs are neededEquipment selection: Chooses appropriate tools and materials for each jobOperation and control: Operates systems and machinery efficientlyOperations monitoring: Observes indicators and gauges to ensure proper equipment functionQuality control analysis: Inspects work and evaluates service performanceRepairing and troubleshooting: Diagnoses problems and resolves them using the proper toolsEducation And Experience RequirementsAt least High school graduateCompleted a course in plumbing or AC servicing, with TESDA certificationAt least 2 years of experience in plumbing and AC chiller water operations (1 year acceptable if with NC II certification)Minimum QualificationsSummary of Work Activities and ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Equipment and Motorpool Management Section Head, the AC Technician/ Plumber services job requests involving air conditioning and plumbingequipment as assigned to him/ her. S/ he also implements maintenance activities on AC and plumbing equipment, as well as implements minor construction and construction-related work ne position is expected to implement activities that minimize disruption of services provided in facilities.
