This project focuses on uncovering the biological and biochemical pathways that control bacterial shape and cell wall synthesis, with potential implications for antibiotic development. You will be involved in experiments and analysis in areas such as:

Protein expression, purification, and biochemical characterizationGenetic engineering and molecular biology techniquesMicroscopy and image-based analysis of bacterial morphologyResponsibilitiesConduct experimentsAssist in optimizing protocols and troubleshooting experimental challengesMaintain laboratory records and contribute to data interpretation and figure preparationCollaborate with lab members in experimental design and innovationParticipate in literature review, manuscript drafting, and conference preparationSupport lab maintenance and routine operations QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related fieldsPassion for research and a strong commitment of at least two yearSelf-motivated, curious, detail-oriented, and responsibleAble to accept assignments and perform experimental work and tasksAbility to learn independently and work collaboratively in a teamStrong time management and problem-solving skillsGood English proficiency (reading and writing scientific literature)Candidates who see research as a long-term career path are especially welcome!Working EnvironmentOperating Hours According to AS regulationsWork Place NTU campus, Institute of Biochemical Sciences, R405 No.
