Wishlist are recruiting for a full-time Accommodation Officer (part-time also considered)Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of patients and families?Join the dedicated team at Wishlist and help deliver high-quality accommodation services that support those accessing vital medical care across the Sunshine Coast. About the RoleThe Wishlist Accommodation Officer is an important member of our team, providing hands-on support to the Accommodation Manager and our valued volunteers. You will help ensure the smooth delivery of accommodation services across multiple sites, including:Wishlist Centre and Wishlist House in BirtinyaWishlist Reed House in NambourThis is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a supportive environment where empathy, professionalism and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Accommodation Manager in the daily operations of Wishlist accommodation services.Work collaboratively with volunteers to deliver exceptional service to guests and families.Assist with bookings and guest administration across sites.Build positive, meaningful relationships with patients, families, staff and volunteers.Maintain high standards of communication, organisation and customer care.Contribute to a welcoming, safe and well-managed environment. About YouYou will bring:Well-developed communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to quickly develop meaningful relationships.Intermediate IT skills, including experience with booking systems (RMS), Office 365, SharePoint and volunteer management systems such as Better Impact.A commitment to professional development (both your own and that of volunteers).The ability to remain diplomatic and solution-focused, even under pressure.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes complex environment.A friendly, positive, and empathetic approach when engaging with multiple stakeholders. Mandatory RequirementsBlue Card (to be provided within one month of commencement via Wishlist Volunteering application).Criminal History Check (to be completed at the officer’s expense via AFP application and provided within one month of commencement).Current driver’s licence. Why Join Wishlist?At Wishlist, you will be part of a purpose-driven organisation.You’ll work alongside a dedicated team, united by a shared goal providing comfort, care and connection when it matters most.If you are organised, compassionate and ready to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.Apply now: email your CV and cover letter to Tracey tracey.sobey@health.qld.gov.au
