Account Assistant

We are seeking a meticulous Account Assistant to support the finance department of a maritime and logistics group. The successful candidate will be maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with monthly reporting for group entities. Responsibilities:Prepare and process journal entries, invoices, and payments accurately and on time.Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and schedules.Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.Support the preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and audit schedules.Track accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely collection and payment cycles.Perform bank reconciliations and assist in cash flow management.Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors as needed.Ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements (GST, corporate tax, etc.).Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls.Requirements:Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within maritime, logistics, or trading sectors.Strong understanding of accounting principles (Singapore Financial Reporting Standards preferred).Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Odoo, or similar is an advantage.Meticulous attention to detail with strong organisational skills.Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
