The role will require significant client and internal stakeholder management, business development acumen and the ability to influence and negotiate.______________________________________________________________________________________________Specific areas of responsibilityOwnership and responsibility for the success of the APAC portion of a large and complex local account, with multiple services, under multiple contractsAccountability for financial performance against set targets and overall service delivery against operational and business targets, including setting of budgets and ongoing management of P&LLeadership of local RFPs, contract renewals and business development initiatives, with involvement in global initiatives impacting APACCreating and delivering against strategic client account plans; identifying growth opportunities and effective cost managementOwnership of senior client relationships and overall client engagement and satisfactionRelationship building, stakeholder management and communication at all levels within the client structure and internally at Williams Lea on local, regional and global levels Ensuring the objectives of the business and the expectations of the client are met and exceeded Effective communication with the Business Director to ensure local account alignmentManagement of the Japan-based Regional Operations Manager to ensure:the successful management of multiple account leaders based at client premises in Japanefficient operational excellence is driven and maintained, proactive and exceeds client requirementsthe overall regional team structure is appropriate for the operations and the client at all times succession planning to meet the future needs of the account and to contribute to the wider Williams Lea organisational planning adherence to the client contracts at all timesProfessional experience and skills requiredCompelling senior relationship management and negotiation skills, in both client and internal matrix structuresStrong multi-cultural leadership, management and coaching with highly effective communication skillsAble to lead, motivate, train and retain team members; know when to delegate, when to “pitch-in”Significant experience working with Investment Banking clients, in Financial Services, or with demonstrable transferable experience and skills from a connected industryAn operational excellence mindset, ideally from experience in a business support services environmentCommercial acumen, P&L ownership, management and reportingBusiness development acumen and growth mindsetAble to deal with difficult personnel issues across culturesProject management to often challenging deadlinesFluent in Japanese and English
