We are hiring an Account Executive to join our Mid Market team!As an Account Executive, your responsibilities are to engage the public sector market with an outbound approach, map your territory, plan your structure, and cultivate relationships with new customers!Our Spare HQ is in Vancouver - BC, but this position is open to remote work options across Canada and the USA.If you're in Vancouver we'd expect you to regularly collaborate with the team, in person at our office.About The RoleDrive revenue growth with our new customers, through product and industry expertise;Manage negotiations and contractual agreements with our executive and legal team;Grow your pipeline by working cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales Development;Prepare, present and close new business through a detailed reach-out plan, various touch points, product demonstrations, virtual and in-person events and meetings;Listen to customers, identify what success means to them, and drive growth by helping them achieve their goals with the Spare Platform!Provide weekly feedback & forecasting on all account activity, and demonstrate excellent CRM adoption for managing your pipeline and account plans.Work closely with champions and stakeholders to develop proposals and business cases for large scale deployments.Work closely with Marketing and Business Development team to develop account-based marketing and sales plans;Build a deep understanding of Spare’s products and key markets, and maintain ongoing learning of new features and improvements;Partner with and influence customers through thought leadership, industry best practices, and deep product knowledge;Share customer feedback with Product, Engineering and Partner Success teams.Frequently travel to visit customers in Canada and the US.About YouExperience in consultative sales and/or consultative sales for government agencies (ideally 4+ years)Experience selling complex software solutionsPassion for and interest in Urban Planning and/or Transit (or correlated areas)Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation skills) with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences in a personable wayAvailability to travel frequently within Canada and the USA (20 to 30% of the time)It Will Be Considered a PlusAcademic background in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Sociology, Sustainability, etcExperience in a transit tech company or a transit agencyCompensation Range: CA$180K - CA$250K
