We are at an exciting growth phase, making a number of key hires who will form the founding blocks of our team in Japan!The RoleThis is a junior role that combines account management (TAM) with some business development responsibilities to improve our revenues whilst being able to contribute to the development of our product, acting as a bridge between our customers and our engineering team. Customer-side communications will be primarily Japanese, but internal communications will be partly in English.We are looking for someone with early-career experience (4-5 years) in media, data / analytics solutions, or in a related technology company who is eager to play a customer-facing role and develop a product-oriented career. Knowledge of analytics, metadata, or enterprise SaaS operations will be essential, with experience in the media/advertising business being a strong plus.We are seeking bilingual candidates who are looking to work in a startup environment and understand the Japanese B2B customer dynamics. Lastly, we would prefer candidates who have an ambition and capability to move and work from our London or Bangalore offices for both shor-term and longer-term placements.What you’ll be doing:Responsible for managing the ongoing product requirements from our new and existing accounts by clarifying, documenting and prioritising (this is a mix of project and product management)Research and understand customer business problems, and communicate insights internallyParticipate in agile release cycles by supporting test checks, organising feedback, and coordinating with customer teamsProvide proactive support and communications with customersAssist with the onboarding of new customers and projectsResearch competitors and industry trendsSupport tech partnerships channels for co-marketing and co-development opportunitiesWho you are (Qualifications/Experience):Experience: 4+ years experience in a multi-stakeholder and/or customer-facing rolesEnjoys communicating: ability to listen to customer needs in detail, discuss these needs internally, and actively present proposals to customers.Tech skills: Basic understanding of how Analytics and data pipeline works in general: ETL, pipelines, APIsTeam player: Comfortable working in small, collaborative startup environmentsExtras: You must be able to work permanently in Japan.
