About the RoleThe Account Officer is responsible for managing daily financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions, and maintaining the company’s financial integrity. The role involves transaction entry, bank reconciliations, cash and stock management, and reporting. The Account Officer will play a key role in supporting the finance team by ensuring accurate books of accounts and inventory tracking, enabling data-driven decision-making for higher management.Key Responsibilities1.    Daily Transaction Managementa. Record and maintain daily accounting transactions, including journal entries.b. Handle and document all cash and bank transactions.2.    Purchase and Sales Entrya. Accurately enter purchase and sales invoices into the accounting system.b. Ensure proper verification and documentation of bills.3.    Bank Reconciliationa. Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial records match bank statements.b. Investigate and resolve discrepancies.4.    Cash Managementa. Monitor daily cash inflows and outflows.b. Maintain a record of petty cash expenses and ensure proper accountability.5.    Stock Managementa. Perform regular stock counting and maintain accurate inventory records.b. Track goods movement and reconcile physical stock with system data.c. Prepare and submit periodic stock reports to senior management.6.    Reportinga. Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial and inventory reports.b. Report financial and inventory discrepancies promptly.Skills and Qualificationsa. Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies.b. Minimum 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.c. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally).d. Sound knowledge of MS Excel and general accounting practices.e. Ability to work with stock/inventory management systems.f. Detail-oriented and highly organized.g. Strong integrity and ethical approach to financial responsibilities.h. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
