Accountant (AUS CALENDAR - AUS SHIFT)

The JobPrepare complex and medium tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Handle FBT compliance, including preparation of returns.Assist with Div 7A compliance and calculations, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with tax laws.Knowledge in CGT calculations, including asset disposals, exemptions, and concessions.Grooming and reviewing work done by junior accountants. Support senior accountants in year-end closing processes, including preparation of adjustment journals and financial statements.Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting and taxation issues efficiently and professionally.Requirements:A degree in Accounting or Finance is essential; CA/CPA/CIMA/ CMA qualifications are a strong advantage.Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and other mainstream systems.Minimum of 2 - 4 years of hands-on experience in Australian taxation is a must.Willingness to work on-site is a must.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functions.Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.A proactive problem-solver with a positive, can-do attitude who takes ownership and strives for continuous improvement in systems and processes.Highly organized and detail-oriented, ensuring all client and regulatory requirements are met without oversight.
