Role ObjectiveJOB CONTENTAn Accountant takes lead in executing and overseeing the accounting and reporting function facilitated by the strategic and operational decisions. Such role creates a strong partnership between the accounting function and the management with the goal to add value in the decision making. (please refer to the job description below)2. Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperational: Treasury activities: Take lead in complying with all financial and non-financial covenants as per the agreements with the Lender. Liaise where required with all stakeholders in view of covenants compliance. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project financing plans, in line with the business project progress.
Optimization of finance income through identifying and executing appropriate banking products and services. Development of reporting and budgeting activities: Create & increase transparency in reporting. Analyze and visualize data: you will find innovative ways and the best reporting approachParticipate in developing financial analysis and management reporting processes and support the broader team to hit deadlines and targets. Contribute to several innovative and challenging future projects. Business Partnering and Support to the Management: Act as Audit Committee (AC) Secretary mainly entails the preparation and presentation of the pack to the AC and draft minutes of meetings.
Assist in controlling the asset and insurance management of the company. Providing ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issuesGeneral Accounting & Tax Function tasks: Take lead and accountability in executing the different accounting functions such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Permanent participation in expenditure management and financial control. Act as the focal point for the tax consultant with regards to the preparation of the VAT filing and annual corporate tax filing. Take lead in performing any required tax tasks. Act as the focal point for the internal and external auditors. Prepare interim and statutory financial statementsMINIMUM EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance related field, or equivalent as per the Minimum Qualifications and Experiences matrix in Emdad. Experience: 0-2 years of experience in relevant work area or as per the Minimum Qualifications and Experiences matrix in Emdad. Special Skills & Knowledge: A solid understanding of accounting concepts and principles with experience in working with project financing, financial models, tools and systems. Knowledge of auditing practices and principles; applicable laws, codes and regulationsExperience and competence with accounting systems, MS Word and Excel, plus basic knowledge of MS Access and PowerPoint.
