Accountant (fixed term contract)

We strive for collaboration which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long lasting careers.Our business, Your impact, Shared opportunityThis individual will be responsible for the accounts processing, recording and reporting, reporting to the Financial Controller.What You’ll Be DoingResponsibility for day-to-day accounting activities for France, Luxembourg and Belgium branchesAccounts payable accounting and creation of payment runs in Concur/SAPRegistration of invoices in Concur and queries resolutionNew vendor set up and maintenancePreparation of manual payments and bank transfersArranging fund transfers with related companiesPerformance of bookkeeping activities (e.g. journals, expenses, bank etc.)Independent preparation of monthly bank and other balance sheet accounts reconciliationsAct as a liaison person locally to assist the tax team regarding VAT and income tax informationAdd hoc activities as directedWhat You’ll BringFully qualified accountant with at least 3 years experience, preferably in FranceNative French speaker, fluent EnglishKnowledgeable of accounting and tax practices in FranceExperience in accounts payable accountingExperience with Concur and SAPInsurance sector experience would be advantageousGood communication skills, both written and verbalEffective time-management and organisational skillsAdvanced spreadsheet skills, strong practical knowledge of ExcelCareful consideration of financial accuracyProven ability to learn quicklyForward thinker and somebody with initiative to develop and improve themselves.Our BenefitsWe continuously evaluate and update our benefit programs to ensure that our plans meet the needs of our employees and their dependents.
