Elicio is a major Belgian renewable energy company focused on the development, financing,construction and operation of onshore and offshore wind energy power plants. The group currently has over 630MW operational capacity across Belgium, France and Serbia, and holds an important development pipeline in multiple European countries. Moreover, Elicio is an important player in the offshore wind industry as a shareholder in operational projects in the Belgian North Sea and a developer of two concessions in France and Scotland.In support of its continued growth, Elicio is counting on Graphene International to recruit an AccountantOstend Job contentAs a member of the financial department (currently counting 17 colleagues), the Accountant is responsible for the bookkeeping of a number of legal entities including the holding company. This involves performing all administrative accounting tasks to maintain the accounting records in compliance with the applicable accounting regulation, the reporting/valuation rules and the internal control procedures set by Management and by the Board of Directors. Your main responsibilities include: Record incoming invoices in a timely manner and allocate them to the correct analytical accounting dimensions. Prepare & execute payment proposals, monitor purchase orders and approval flows. Issue outgoing invoices in a timely manner after verifying revenue recognition milestones. Process bank statements in a timely manner. Properly record capital expenditures and apply depreciation rules to the different categories of assets. Perform quarterly/yearly closing cycles. Prepare periodic VAT applications.Perform payroll accounting tasks. Prepare annual budgets. Perform or support the annual account preparation. Prepare corporate income tax calculations & other recurring tax compliance matters (with support of a tax specialist). Provide info in case of tax inspections. Interact with audit managers during audit process. Support ad-hoc projects. Your profile You hold an academic degree in accountancy/finance.You have several years of experience working in a similar accounting role. Experience in the energy sector is a plus, not a requirement.You show a diligent attitude and work in a highly accurate fashion. You have sound communication skills, both written and oral.You are skilled at working with MS Office software. Experience with Business Central is a plus.You appreciate to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. You are punctual when it comes to respect reporting deadlines. You are committed to continuous professional development. You are professionally proficient in Flemish and English.
