Accountant

Location: Petaling JayaA Company in specialised logistics and distribution that supports the healthcare sector with warehousing, inventory management and service-based operations across Malaysia and the region. They are now seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team in Petaling Jaya and help drive robust financial controls in a dynamic service environment.What You’ll DoManage full-set accounting for multiple companies, including AP/AR, inventory, fixed assets, general ledger and management reporting.Lead the month-end close process: perform reconciliations, prepare journals, prepayments, accruals and ensure all tasks are completed on time.Establish and oversee customer credit control processes, monitor collections, and ensure cash flow visibility via daily cash monitoring.Prepare and submit quarterly tax reports, support external audit cycles and liaise with auditors and tax agents.Attend to statutory and secretarial filings: ensure annual returns and other corporate filings are completed.Support revenue recognition and project-based billing: ensure invoices are issued timely and revenue is recognised correctly.Lead efforts to reduce outstanding receivables and improve AR efficiency.Provide ad-hoc support and take on other duties as assigned by the Manager.Who You AreYou are a capable finance professional ready for a leadership role in a fast-paced logistical services environment.Must-Haves:Speaks mandarin Diploma or above in Accounting / Finance; ACCA/LCCI or equivalent professional qualification an advantageat least 5 years of experienceExperience handling full-set accounting for at least two companies/entitiesStrong knowledge of cash flow management, tax and audit requirements for service/distribution operationsComfortable working on-site in Petaling Jaya (near accessible transit; parking may be limited)Strong organisational, analytical and follow-through skillsWhy Should You Apply?Take ownership of the full finance process in a niche logistics/distribution company serving healthcare clients.Work closely with the Singapore-based Finance Manager and have exposure to regional operations.Lead critical finance functions and initiatives – align yourself with strong process improvement opportunities.Attractive salary package with opportunity for growth.If you are an experienced Accountant or Finance Manager ready for a challenging yet rewarding finance role, and have managed multi-entity accounting in a service or logistics environment, we’d like to hear from you.
