Accountant (Malta and Bulgaria Operations)

With a growing presence in Malta and Bulgaria, we’re expanding our operations under Fly2Sky Airlines and building a strong local team that understands both the Maltese and Bulgarian business and regulatory environments.If you’re ready to take on a new challenge in a multinational aviation setting - with opportunities for growth, innovation, and real impact - join our people-focused team that values your expertise and contribution.We are currently looking for an experienced Accountant, whose main focus will be on the Malta entity, while also supporting accounting tasks related to the Bulgarian entities.Location: Sofia, 64 Hristofor Kolumb Blvd, Bldg A02Your Role:As an Accountant supporting Fly2Sky, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of our entities, ensuring full compliance with local accounting standards, tax obligations, and regulatory requirements.Your main responsibilities will include:Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Maltese and Bulgarian GAAP and IFRSTransaction Management: Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to both Bulgarian and Malta-based operationsTax & Compliance: Manage VAT, corporate tax, and regulatory filings in line with Maltese and Bulgarian legislation; liaise with local authorities and auditorsBanking Operations: Handle day-to-day banking activities in EUR and other currenciesRevenue & Expense Control: Track revenue, costs, and intercompany transactions between Fly2Sky entitiesLiaison with External Partners: Coordinate with local accountants, auditors, and financial institutions in Malta and BulgariaWhat We’re Looking For:Minimum 3 years of accounting experienceExcellent knowledge of Bulgarian and Maltese accounting, tax, and regulatory frameworksUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related fieldFamiliarity with IFRS standards and experience working with international companiesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting softwareHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent command of EnglishWhy Join Fly2Sky?Be part of a growing airline group with expanding operationsWork in a supportive, international team of aviation professionalsCompetitive compensation and benefits packageOpportunities for career growth in a dynamic, fast-evolving industryFlexible working conditions and an empowering work environmentAt Fly2Sky, we believe in building a workplace that inspires, supports, and develops our people.
