We supply, install and operate a wide range of unattended vending machines across Australia.Position OverviewUnder the supervision of the Managing Director, and reporting directly to the Financial Controller of APAC, the Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting management with reliable financial information for decision-making. This role combines hands-on accounting work with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and business efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & General Ledger ManagementPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.Assist with consolidation of multiple entities or business units.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are properly substantiated.Month-End & Year-End ProcessesManage the month-end closing process, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.Support the year-end close and preparation of financial statements for audit.Work with internal and external auditors to provide required documentation and explanations.Accounts Payable, Receivable & Payroll SupportOversee and review AP and AR to ensure timely and accurate recording.Support payroll accounting, ensuring correct posting of wages, taxes, and superannuation, and process fortnightly payroll.Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.Budgeting & AnalysisAssist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.Provide financial insights to management to support business decisions.Identify areas for cost control and process improvement.Compliance & Process ImprovementEnsure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GST, FBT, income tax).Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and procedures.Participate in financial projects, such as ERP upgrades, automation, or new policy rollouts.Key Requirements:Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Australian CPA, CA, or working towards qualification (preferred).3-5 years of accounting experience in Australia, ideally including both financial and management accounting.Solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS).Experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., Quickbooks, Xero, MYOB, SAP, NetSuite).Skills & Attributes:Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work proactively, autonomously and manage competing priorities.Salary range: $80-100k per annum + SuperMe Group is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace where all employees are respected, valued, and empowered to contribute to their full potential.
