The team remains dedicated to reducing ICT operational burdens, allowing businesses to focus on their key objectives.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant, based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Accountant will manage financial transactions, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records. Key responsibilities include preparing reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, processing payroll, managing budgets, and supporting financial audits. The Accountant will also assist in improving the accuracy and effectiveness of the accounting functions within the organization.Key Duties & Responsibilities: Assisting with project operations; coordinating accounting, purchasing, budgeting and payroll.Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, financial reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including PAYE, VAT, NSSF, NHIF, and other tax obligations.Handle all payments for the company – statutory, vendor and casuals payments and payroll processingPrepare accurate financial reports, budgets and forecasts to support business decision-making.Maintain proper financial documentation and records.Ensure accurate inventory tracking for company stock and equipmentPreparation and maintenance of fixed assets register and asset movement schedules.Utilize accounting/ERP software such as QuickBooks, Zoho, Sage, etc. and Office Suite software for bookkeeping and reporting.Collaborate with internal teams to optimize financial and operational processes and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.Assist external auditors with the review of financial records. Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, audits and financial analysis.Assist the management in general administrative functions Required Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.• Ability to communicate financial information clearly and professionally. • Strong organizational and time-management skills.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field CPA or ACCA qualificationAt least 5 years of hands-on experience in accounting in a fast-paced environmentStrong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho or Sage.Excellent understanding of financial principles with exposure to IFRS, tax compliance, budgeting and regulatory frameworks.Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Experience in financial forecasting and financial planning, accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in Office Suite software such as Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Proven ability to work independently in a full-time on-site role with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail, integrity and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
