Job SummaryThe general ledger accountant position is accountable to manage period close activity, perform cost allocation and reporting, calculate monthly accrual and provisioning, prepare and validate amortization schedules.Job Requirements Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances Conduct accounting analysis for accruals, prepaid expenses, and account reconciliations Demonstrate capability to manage and reconcile intercompany transactions Analyze and execute foreign currency exchange and related accounting Manage cost allocation activities effectively Prepare schedules for period-end reporting Reconcile Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Assets sub-ledger balances Assist auditors in conducting internal and external audits Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts Review financial reports to identify and explain variances Comply with documentation retention policies to maintain accounting files Prepare cash flow statements and resolve outstanding balancing issues Adhere to standard accounting principles and company procedures Perform accounting analyses and reporting to support informed decision-makingEducation 0-2 years of experience in accounting A master's degree in accounting and finance is required Experience working in an ERP environment is preferred Oracle ERP experience is preferredAt NetApp, we embrace a hybrid working environment designed to strengthen connection, collaboration, and culture for all employees.
