Our AI solutions enhance efficiency, spark creativity, and drive insightful decision-making, empowering our teams to produce innovative and impactful results.Role: AccountantLocation: India (remote)About the role:OLIVER is on the lookout for an Accountant based in India to join an amazing team in an exciting, fast-growing businessWhat you will be doing: As a key member of the Finance team, the Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions. This role will also play a critical part in cash flow management, weekly forecasting activities, intercompany reconciliations, and supporting both internal and external audit and tax processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Accounts Payable (AP):Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoicesManage vendor relationships and resolve invoice discrepanciesMaintain accurate AP records and filesEnsure compliance with relevant policies and proceduresAccounts Receivable (AR):Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivablesApply customer payments accuratelyMaintain accurate AR records and filesInitiate collections activitiesEnsure compliance with relevant policies and proceduresCash Flow Management:Monitor weekly cash balancesPreparing cash flow forecastsIdentify and report on cash flow variancesRecommend strategies to improve cash flowForecasting:Participate in weekly forecasting activitiesAnalyze financial data to support forecasting accuracyAssist in the preparation of forecast reportsMonth-end closing:Performing bank reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end closing activities, i.e. prepare journal entries as neededAssist in the preparation and analysis of management reports post month-end closingPerform other accounting duties as assignedIntercompany Reconciliation:Perform monthly intercompany account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of intercompany transactionsInvestigate and resolve intercompany discrepancies in a timely mannerCoordinate with other departments and regional entities to resolve reconciliation issuesPrepare and maintain intercompany reconciliation documentationManagement Reporting:Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including variance analysisAssist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedulesProvide insightful commentary and explanations for financial resultsAssist in the development and improvement of management reporting processesLiaison with external parties (e.g. auditors, bankers, government bodies, tax agents)Assist with internal and external audit requestsPrepare schedules and documentation for auditorsAssist with statutory, tax and regulatory compliance matters, i.e. tax preparation and filing, e-invoice submission, etc.Other Responsibilities:Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as neededEnsure compliance with accounting policies and proceduresMaintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detailContribute to process improvements within the finance departmentWhat you will need to be great in this role:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related fieldAt least 1+ years of financial experience, preferably in multinational corporationsProficiency in accounting software, preferably NetSuite, and Microsoft excelStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience with cash flow management and forecasting is a plusExperience supporting audits and tax processes is a plusReq ID: 14800Our values shape everything we do:Be Ambitious to succeed Be Imaginative to push the boundaries of what's possible Be Inspirational to do groundbreaking work Be always learning and listening to understand Be Results-focused  to exceed expectations Be actively pro-inclusive and anti-racist across our community, clients and creations OLIVER, a part of the Brandtech Group, is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive working environment where all employees are encouraged to reach their full potential, and individual differences are valued and respected.
