Job Description

Role OverviewThe Accountant is responsible for the safekeeping and preparation of reports and files related to spending and budgets. They will also be involved and looking into managing financial transactions including fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budget allocations. In addition, they are expected to audit financial documents and procedures, reconcile bank statements, calculate applicable taxes, and proactively collaborating with all appropriate teams.ResponsibilitiesPreparing financial statements according to agreed-upon frequency and deadlines and sharing them with the appropriate personnel or team.Handling monthly, quarterly and annual closings.Reconciling accounts payables and receivables.Ensuring timely bank payments for processes including payroll, operational costs and other regular expenses.Managing Qashio’s balance sheets and profit/loss statements.Reinforcing financial data confidentiality and conducting database back-ups when necessary.Complying with financial policies and regulations.Knowledge of KSA financial laws & regulations is mandatoryRequirementsProven experience & hands-on responsibility for KSA tax filing, compliance, and understanding of local tax codes and regulatory frameworks.KSA experience is essential due to the complexity of local filing processes, tax structures, and reporting requirements.3+ years’ experience as an accountant, preferably within a technology, fintech, or fast-growing corporate environment.Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic (both written and verbal) is mandatory.Strong understanding of FinTech platforms, accounting workflows, and expense-management systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations, data structuring).Practical experience using accounting software and ERP systems.Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capability, and accuracy in financial reporting.Solid knowledge of KSA financial laws and regulations, including ZATCA requirements, VAT, corporate tax, and e-invoicing standards.Understanding of UAE regulations is advantageous.A bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (SOCPA, ACCA, CMA, CPA) are a strong plus.
