This role will report to the Sr. Accounting Manager supporting the Chief Accountant and Accounts Payable team with day-to-day accounting as well as month-end close tasks and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have experience in international accounting environments and will be excited to play a key role in optimizing the company’s working capital and minimizing financial risk.This role offers flexibility and can be based in Budapest, Hungary with a hybrid schedule.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:Cash & Liquidity ManagementMonitor daily bank activity and cash positions across our Hungarian, UK, and US accounts.Prepare weekly/monthly cashburn analyticsPrepare monthly cashflow forecasts and prepare intercompany funding proposals.Proactively ensure appropriate cash funding across all group entities.Maintain and reconcile multiple bank accounts in Netsuite. IntercompanyRecord all intercompany transactions in the company’s accounting software as they occur. Reconcile financial transactions and balances between all group subsidiaries on a monthly basis. Maintain the group’s intercompany reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies. Support the Controller in the preparation of transfer pricing modeling, calculations and journal entries Bookkeeping, Monthly Closing & ReportingBook bank-related journal entries (e.g., bank fees, interest, FX). Perform month-end closing tasks related to treasury and banking, including bank reconciliations. Prepare cash burn reporting and other treasury related reporting.Assist in FX revaluations at month-end Record and analyze foreign exchange gains/losses (realized and unrealized).Assist the accounts payable team with transaction bookingsAssist chief accountant with Hungarian entity journal entry bookings and reconciliationsInternal Controls & ComplianceEnsure internal accounting and treasury policies and procedures are followed.Continuously evaluate and mitigate any risks in the company’s treasury processes.Assist in treasury-related audits and inquiries (e.g KYC, AML, UBO) WHAT YOU’ll BRING:Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or treasuryKnowledge of Hungarian accounting standards (HAS) and IFRSExperience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) - not requiredProficiency in Microsoft ExcelFluent in Hungarian and English (written and verbal)
