Accountant

Position Overview:We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our construction firm in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of hands-on accounting experience within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of project-based financial management, cost control, and UAE accounting standards.The role involves managing day-to-day financial operations, preparing accurate reports, and supporting management in decision-making through reliable financial insights.Key Responsibilities:Manage all accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.Prepare and maintain financial statements, cash flow reports, and project cost summaries.Monitor and track project budgets, expenses, and cost allocations.Handle supplier invoices, subcontractor payments, and petty cash transactions.Support monthly and annual closing processes and ensure timely financial reporting.Coordinate with project managers and procurement teams on job costing and expense control.Prepare VAT computations and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.Assist in preparing management reports, forecasts, and budget analyses.Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits and financial reviews.Liaise with external auditors, banks, and relevant government authorities when required.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred).5–7 years of accounting experience within the construction industry in the UAE.Strong understanding of construction project accounting, job costing, and progress billing.Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems).Solid knowledge of UAE VAT laws, financial reporting, and compliance standards.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy and detail.Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Valid UAE drivers license (preferred).
