Job Description

We are looking for a skilled accountant to join the finance team and take on the accounts receivable and month end functions. Reporting to the CFO, you will be part of a small team focused on delivering to both internal and external customers.Note:This is a fixed-term 40 hour role to cover parental leave Dec 2025 - July 2025.This role covers a variety of tasks including, not limited to:Financial Administration & SupportPreparing end of month management accounts and journalsReconciling balance sheet accounts at each month endReconciling of inter entity balancesAccounts Receivable & Credit ControlGenerating, processing, & dispatch of customer invoicesInvoicing and liaising with customers, trade agents, sales and hospitality to resolve any queries & ensure prompt payment is madeReconcile daily sales from across the organisation to cash, Eftpos, and credit card transaction to bank statementsInventory Monthly reconciliation of café and events inventory to general ledgerMonitoring against benchmark percentages for cost of salesTraining of retail and hospitality staff in best practice stock take proceduresPayroll (Back-Up)First level review of the payrollWhen the payroll accountant is away, preparing and processing the weekly payrollVerifying master file data in order to maintain and update payroll informationCompiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages and reporting on thisCompleting all IRD filings in relation to payroll and ensuring compliance with legal obligationsPreparing payroll journalsWhat you'll need to be successful | Ō Pūkenga4yrs+ proven experience and working knowledge of general accounting functionsAccounts receivable and collections experienceStrong organisational skills, including the ability to plan, set clear objectives and meet deadlines.
