Accountant – Zoomlion Australia & New ZealandLocation: Melbourne, Victoria Employment Type: Full-timeZoomlion Australia & New Zealand, part of Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., a global leader in construction and agricultural machinery, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Melbourne-based finance team.This is an opportunity to be part of a fast-growing multinational organisation, supporting financial operations and compliance across Australia and New Zealand.About the Role Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with our China Head Office, you will manage accounting operations, compliance reporting, and financial analysis to support business decisions. This position plays a key role in ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in our financial processes as the business continues to expand across the region.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement internal financial and accounting procedures under head office guidance.Manage daily accounting operations including income, expenditure, and cost control.Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for both local management and the China head office.Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.Handle tax reporting and compliance for both Australia and New Zealand.Process payments, reconcile bank accounts, and prepare journal entries.Review and approve employee reimbursements, supplier invoices, and business transactions such as shipment and revenue recognition.Conduct inventory and fixed asset management, including periodic stocktakes and asset audits.Perform regular account reconciliations with customers and suppliers.Liaise with banks, auditors, and tax authorities to ensure compliance and smooth operations.Maintain accurate financial records.Support the finance manager and management team with ad hoc projects as required.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.Minimum three years’ experience in accounting or finance roles.Strong knowledge of Australian tax, audit, and reporting standards; New Zealand experience is a plus.Proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred).Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Mandarin is an advantage.CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification preferred (not mandatory).Must hold Australian Citizenship/permanent residency.Why Join ZoomlionJoin a global industry leader in construction and agricultural machinery.Be part of a growing regional hub supporting Australia and New Zealand operations.Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.Genuine opportunities for career development in an international organisation.How to Apply If you’re ready to join a global company and contribute to the success of Zoomlion Australia & New Zealand, apply now with your CV and cover letter to malka.rosenbaum@zoomlion-zitc.com
