FlexibleResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting operations for the Austrian entity, including posting transactions, month-end close activities, internal and external reporting, and coordination of annual audits. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with the Austrian Law on Accounting and Austrian GAAP. Act as the sole accountant for the Austrian entity, serving as the primary point of contact for all accounting and tax-related matters. Communicate directly with local accounting and tax advisors. Oversee the entire payroll process for Austria, including salary calculation, income tax and social contributions, and support for employees with payroll-related queries.

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements in line with Austrian GAAP, and ensure timely submission of the Annual Financial Statements to the State Revenue Committee (SRC). Prepare and submit all required tax filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, personal income tax, and social contributions . Ensure compliance with local tax and financial reporting obligations, and maintain accurate documentation in case of audits or inspections by the State Revenue Committee (SRC) or other regulatory authorities. Liaise with tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies (e. g.

SRC, National Statistical Service of Austria, Ministry of Finance) to ensure full compliance with Austrian laws and regulations. Monitor changes in Austrian tax, labor, and accounting legislation, and implement updates as necessary to maintain compliance. Requirements4+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping for a company operating in Austria. Proven experience in handling payroll and employee tax calculations in Austria. Strong knowledge of Austrian GAAP, local tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements. Experience preparing and submitting reports to Austrian regulatory bodies, including VAT, profit tax, PIT, and social fund declarations. Fluent in Austrian and English, both written and spoken.
