If so, then we have outstanding opportunity for you!What You Will DoThe Finance and Accounting Rotational Development Program is a 2.5 year program that develops people who graduated in the last 4 years into future experts and leaders of Johnson Controls (JCI). This is an intensive, exciting program that allows you to fast track your growth and learning. It is a lot of hard work but also a lot of fun!During the 2.5 years commitment, individuals rotate to new positions every 6 months to gain an overall understanding of accounting and financial responsibilities within Johnson Controls as well as exposure to the various business models within the company.Your journey will begin in Bratislava, Slovakia, which will also be your home base throughout the program. The majority of your rotations will take place in Bratislava, giving you a strong foundation and close connection to our core teams.However, for top-performing associates, there is an exciting opportunity to earn one international rotation—typically one out of five—across Europe or the Middle East, depending on business needs and your development path. In case of rotation in other country, you will be provided with travel and housing expenses, as well as a living allowance based on the country you rotate to.We are looking for candidates who are excited about spending the next 2.5 years in a dynamic, evolving environment, and who are open to the possibility of relocating internationally.At the successful end of the 2.5 years program, you will have a big opportunity for a permanent position in the organization. While opportunities may exist across different locations, most graduates continue their careers in Bratislava.Associates are challenged to take on additional work outside of their day-to-day responsibilities to gain further knowledge and increase their network within the company. Additional training and development and mentorship opportunities are consistently presented to associates and the expectation is that all opportunities will be taken.All RotationsHow you will do itHands-on support in the departmental regular tasks and responsibilitiesAssists departments in simplification and improvement of overall department processes.Assists in the creation of documentation to ensure consistent application and/or interpretation of processes or policies.Data analytics and generating reportsExposure to senior leadershipSome of the rotations you might do include a chance to work on the following:Plant AccountingResponsible for tracking the financial business transactions that include, but are not limited to accruals, depreciation, Intercompany transactions, cash transactions, etc.Must ensure proper accounts are being charged and accurate records are keptPerform account analysis and timely preparation of reconciliations to ensure balance sheet accuracy including monitoring, tracking, and resolution of remediation items in a timely mannerSupports the business units by providing monthly information and analysis to managementEnsures compliance to internal controlsFinancial Analyst/Field Business AnalystProvides accounting and analytical financial support to management by working as a financial partner in analyzing ways to improve the profitability of the companyAssists in reviewing and interpreting operational resultsAssists in preparation of the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts. This analysis includes comparisons to previous quarters, projections for future quarters, and changes from previous plan/forecastAssists in the monthly financial commentary and operations reviews, as well as analysis of actual results versus financial plan.Monitors key indicators and trends in both income and trade working capital metricsReviews market and business data and analyzes trendsInternal AuditAnalyzes processes and documentation to assess the level of compliance with applicable procedures, adequacy of controls, efficiency and effectiveness of operations, and accuracy of reported informationInterviews individuals and surveys activities in audit areas assignedEnsures audit approach and work program addresses the highest risk areasDrafts, reviews, and discusses audit findings with Internal Audit management and the management of the audited unit on a timely basisRequiredWhat we look for:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or FinanceAbility to relocate and travelProficiency Microsoft Office suiteStrong interpersonal skills and decision-making abilitiesEffective and professional communication and organization skillsGo above and beyond the given responsibilitiesHigh level of flexibility and open-mind approachFluency in EnglishPreferredAny additional foreign language(s)Highly proficient Excel skillsOur BenefitsBesides working in an international environment, you will receive a regularly monthly bonus after your first six months, meal vouchers, a recreation allowance and retail discounts.
