It takes a society.MAKING AN IMPACTReporting to the Senior Manager of Finance, this position will be responsible for supporting revenue process such as prepare bank deposits, handle cash, manage invoicing, and perform other assigned duties.What You’ll Be Doing Accounts ReceivableProcess donation cheques, credit card and all accounts receivable items received by mailPrepare bank deposit and daily deposit logPrepare journal entries and invoices in CCS’s accounting softwareLiaise and provide backup to internal clients and follow-up for revenue coding and opportunity recordsInvestigate and follow-up with internal and external clients on invoice and deposit discrepancies Develop and maintain accurate financial records, including files (paper and electronic), deposit backup, and process descriptions, through compliance with CRA and audit standards Other tasks as requiredSupport in other tasks and projects as assignedContribute to process improvement initiatives and new system implementations as assignedWorking with Senior Manager to document any new revenue processing processesSupport year end audit for revenue requests Contribute to our culture of diversity, inclusion, belonging and equity (DIBE) by ensuring that all staff feel represented, valued, and heard across all aspects of their identity, including gender, age, religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, and sexuality.Other duties as assignedQualificationsAt least 1 to 3 years of experience in payment processing, data entry, accounting or similar fieldExcellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) required Proficient in Excel and accounting systems (complex systems e.g. NetSuite preferred) Enthusiastic, positive, solutions-focused with a ‘can do’ attitude, and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative teamExcellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and multitask to meet time sensitive deadlines Possess a strong understanding of accounting principlesHigh awareness of and adherence to cyber security and related protocolsEnglish is required; French/Bilingualism (French /English) is an asset due to the organization’s nationwide operations.Others may applyWhat You Can Expect From UsCCS provides impactful opportunities to transform the lives of Canadians affected by cancer.
