Role DescriptionYou will support our Finance and Strategy function with accurate, timely and detail-oriented accounting and administrative work. You’ll get exposure across baccounting, reporting, forecasting and financial strategy, and you’ll work directly with the CEO and external advisors.This is a part-time, flexible role suited to a motivated student who is keen to learn, take ownership, and build real experience.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial OperationsPrepare and process monthly payrollIssue monthly customer invoicesManage debtor and creditor workflows, including follow-ups and bankingMaintain organised financial records and supporting documentationAccounting SupportAssist with month-end close activities and simple balance sheet reconciliationsSupport preparation of management reports and financial dashboardsTrack and provide timely input into forecasting and performanceCompliance & ControlsAssist with BAS/IAS preparation and reviewSupport standard business compliance activitiesFollow internal processes and contribute to improving themAbout YouCurrently studying Accounting, Finance or Commerce (2nd or 3rd year preferred)Strong attention to detail and organisationConfident with Excel (SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, pivot tables)Familiarity with Xero or willingness to learn quicklyStrong communication skills and a proactive approachInterest in accounting and finance within a real operating business rather than just textbook theoryInterest in supporting growth of a tech startupWhat You’ll GainHands-on experience across accounting, reporting, forecasting and financial strategyExposure to SaaS finance operations and a high-growth startupFlexible work hours built around your scheduleClear guidance, autonomy and opportunities for ongoing development
