Accounting Clerk

AcuFast is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our Saskatoon office in a permanent, full-time position replacing a retiring employee. This role will focus primarily on accounts payable processing, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to a progressive company while building your accounting career. If you have strong attention to detail, enjoy working with numbers, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d like to hear from you. This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions, but is not limited to:Process and enter invoices for payment, match invoices with purchase orders, and check for accuracy,Code, enter, verify, and reconcile account payable transactions,Analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action,Investigate and resolve customer and vendor queries professionally and promptly,Use Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, filters, formula auditing) to analyze financial data and ensure accuracy,Compile and generate reports for management and internal stakeholders,Support the year-end audit process and perform variance analysis,Perform other accounting tasks as assigned. The successful candidate would ideally possess the following experience and qualifications:1+ years of experience in accounting.Knowledge of the agriculture industry would be considered an asset.Microsoft Excel skills are a must.Experience with accounting programs such as Great Plains would be considered an asset.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.High level of accuracy, efficiency and attention to details.Can successfully work independently and cross-functionally in an autonomous work environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Shares in AcuFast’s core values. What we offer:Dynamic, challenging work for talented individuals.A competitive wage will be offered based on the applicant’s experience.Comprehensive benefits package and a registered pension plan, with a 4% employer match.Inclusive work environment. About UsAcuFast provides pork producers across North America and worldwide with breeding stock and innovative genetic and reproduction solutions.
