Job Description

Job ResponsibilityMonth-End ClosingLead, perform and coordinate month-end close activities across multiple functions to ensure timely and accurate completion.Act as the first point of escalation for any issues during closing; troubleshoot and resolve problems to avoid delays.Ensure compliance with internal timelines, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.Annual AuditManage the full audit cycle including planning, coordination with external auditors, and preparation of audit schedules.Draft financial statements and ensure timely sign-off.Support tax reporting and audit requirements as needed.Balance Sheet Assurance (BSA)Perform reconciliation and monitor BSA progress to ensure timely resolution of risk items.Maintain strong controls over balance sheet accounts, ensuring they are reconciled, validated, and supported with appropriate documentation.Business Support & ReportingProvide financial insights to help business to better understand their numbers and make informed decisions.Actively support business teams in driving process excellence and ensuring smooth, efficient operations.Provide insights and guidance to ensure accurate interpretation and usage of financial data.Perform quarterly analytical review and provide any ad-hoc report required.Optimization & Process ImprovementSupport and drive initiatives focused on process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across the center.Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in financial processes.RequirementsRecognized accounting qualification, preferably with professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ICAEW).Minimum 8 years of experience in financial reporting, audit, or related roles.Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting standards.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.Pro-active and highly performance driven attitudeAt bp, we provide the following environment and benefits to you:A company culture where we respect our diverse and unified teams, where we are proud of our achievements and where fun and the demeanor of giving back to our environment are highly valuedPossibility to join our social communities and networksLearning opportunities and other development opportunities to craft your career pathLife and health insurance, medical care packageAnd many other benefits.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
