The objective of this role is twofold: to learn through hands-on exposure to real accounting processes, and to contribute meaningfully to the day-to-day operations of the Finance department. The internship will provide practical experience across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Financial Reporting, and Fixed Asset accounting, giving you a well-rounded foundation in corporate accounting. The role is ideal for a student aiming to gain board exposure to acounting processes in a dynamic, real-world setting.What You'll DoLearning & Contribution FocusGain hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced accounting team membersContribute to operational and reporting activities with increasing responsibility over timeAccounts Payable & ReceivableAssist in processing supplier invoices, verifying approvals, and supporting payment runsHelp with issuing customer invoices and tracking incoming paymentsPerform basic reconciliations and support resolution of AP/AR discrepanciesMaintain accurate and organized records of payables and receivablesFinancial Reporting & Month-End SupportSupport journal entry preparation and general ledger account reconciliationsAssist with month-end and year-end close tasks, such as accruals and reporting schedulesContribute to the preparation of internal reports and analysis under supervisionFixed AssetsHelp update and maintain the fixed asset registerAssist with depreciation calculations and asset tracking processesSupport asset inventory reviews and reconciliationsOther ResponsibilitiesHelp maintain orderly filing and document control for audits and complianceParticipate in ad hoc accounting projects and process documentation initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams as needed to support accounting activitiesWhat You'll BringCurrently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldInterest in developing a career in accounting or financial operationsBasic knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., double-entry, accruals)Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plusStrong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skillsSelf-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and in a teamClear and professional communication skillsNice to haveFluent in German and DutchPacksize is an Equal Opportunity employer and is committed to diversity in its workforce.
