We strive to provide dependable services that add value and ensure business continuity in complex environments.Job SummaryWe are looking for a qualified and self-driven Accountant that will be based in Djibouti to manage the entire accounting function of the company. This role requires someone who can independently handle all financial operations, from bookkeeping and reporting to compliance and audit preparation. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a freight forwarding or logistics company, strong analytical skills, and excellent attention to detail.Job Station: Djibouti, Djibouti Republic.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payrollPrepare and maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely posting of all transactionsHandle monthly closing, financial statements, and management reportsPrepare tax declarations, ensure compliance with local tax laws, and liaise with tax authoritiesMonitor cash flow, reconcile bank statements, and manage petty cashSupport cost analysis and budgeting for freight operations and overheadsVerify and record freight-related expenses (transport, customs, and handling)Coordinate with operations teams to ensure accurate cost and revenue allocationPrepare audit documents and liaise with auditors and managementImplement and maintain accounting controls and filing systemsWork closely with management to provide financial insights for decision-makingQualifications and RequirementsMinimum 2 years of accounting experience in a freight forwarding or logistics company in Djibouti (mandatory)Strong understanding of financial statements, journal entries, and fixed asset managementExcellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task effectivelyMotivated, proactive, and able to meet financial reporting deadlines with high accuracyStrong English communication skills (written and spoken)Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new accounting and freight management systemsBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related fieldAdvanced proficiency in accounting software; familiarity with regional logistics processes is a plus
