Inviting applications for the role of Business Analyst, General Accounting!The position plays an important role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance for the North American entities within our organization. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this role will be overseeing the financial processes conducted by both our internal accountants and our third-party service provider. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance within established Company policies, regulations and accounting practices, and providing support to internal and external stakeholders.This role is expected to collaborate with our third-party service provider on daily operations and to identify and implement process improvements in the general accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger system by researching and assessing workflow procedures and policies. With different levels of participation, the role will assist in various projects through their completion.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for monthly close activities that include communicating updates that impact the timeliness of financial reporting, leading status calls with multiple Business Units, and closing various modules in ERP system in accordance with the corporate calendar.Coordinate the financial entity review for multiple legal entities.Oversee recurring accruals, reclasses, and other entries related to payroll, stock compensation, and T&E.Work together with the third-party service provide to ensure all financial activities are aligned with company policies and regulations.Ensure Corporate Consolidations has all required narrative to properly support period balance sheet variance analysis by organizing financial data, collaborating with stakeholders, and providing guidance on best practices for thorough and accurate commentary.Review monthly reconciliations for balance sheet and subledger accounts and manages action plans to resolve discrepancies timely and ensures financial report integrity, as well as work with the third-party service provider on current reconciliations that have been escalated.Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate, timely financial reports or statements.Collaborate with Business Units to facilitate special operating and/or reporting requirements.Review existing desktop procedures, as well as develop and document new business processes.Manage finance projects to ensure team meets deadlines for deliverables related to accounting processes.Manage activities related to internal and external audits, SOX controls and testing in coordination with our Compliance Group.Oversee the Treasury Relations processes of our third-party service provider, including daily cash activity, intercompany cash transfers, internal and external financing transactions, and preparation of year-end corporate tax returns.Support the Transfer Pricing Tax Group and Operations Finance Team in the annual costing cycle and throughout the yearProvide oversight and guidance on third-party royalties, rebates, and other revenue entries processed by our third-party service provider.Work together with the third-party service provider to ensure all financial activities are aligned with company policies and regulations.Ensure Corporate Consolidations has all required narrative to properly support period balance sheet variance analysis by organizing financial data, collaborating with stakeholders, and providing guidance on best practices for thorough and accurate commentary.Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate, timely financial reports or statements.Collaborate with Business Units to facilitate special operating and/or reporting requirements.Qualifications we seek in you!Minimum QualificationsMinimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.Previous experience: General Ledger, Intercompany experience is a plus.Knowledge in Costa Rica statutory requirements (accounting/tax).Previous supervisory experience.Strong analytical/problem solving skills.Advanced English level (B2-C1)Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Solid communication and interpersonal skills.Proven process/continuous improvement experience.Demonstrated ability to embody servant leadership principles.Preferred Qualifications/ SkillsExperience in SAP 6.0 or large ERP systems highly preferred.Why join Genpact?
