Accounting Operations Specialist

About the RoleArbor Operating Partners is seeking an exceptional, detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our high-performing team. In this role you will manage day-to-day accounting for fast-scaling software startups. You’ll ensure accurate GL management, month-end close, and reconciliations while helping clients implement scalable processes. This role is ideal for someone who loves untangling SaaS revenue complexities and thrives in a remote, collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:Optimize SaaS metrics reporting (ARR/MRR, LTV, CAC, gross margin by product).Classify and track multi-stream revenue (ARR/MRR, one-time fees, usage-based billing).Prepare and post SaaS-specific JEs (deferred revenue, amortization, ASC 606 compliance).Reconcile customer churn, upgrades/downgrades, and COGS allocations (e.g., hosting costs).Deliver audit-ready financials by the 5th–10th of each month.Document processes for revenue recognition automation (e.g., SaaSOptics integrations).Reconcile Stripe, PayPal, and other payment processors with internal ledgers.Manage AR, AP, and Payroll including vendor bills and customer invoicing.Ideal Candidate:3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably in SaaS, subscription businesses, or tech.Expertise in SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606) and recurring revenue reconciliation.Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero or CampfireStrong grasp of audit compliance and unit economics (e.g., gross margin by product line).Self-starter who can navigate the ambiguity of early-stage startups.Why Join?Accelerate your career by joining a team of experienced, high-performing finance professionals. Own the financial operations for innovative SaaS companies.Fully remote role (US/CA).Opportunity to build scalable processes from the ground up.
