Vacancy: Accounting and Reporting LeadLocation: Regio RotterdamEmployment Type: 32-40 hours per weekReason for Opening: Replacement of current positionAbout the RoleWe are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Accounting and Reporting Lead to join our finance team based in the Rotterdam region. This is a key role within a team of 11 professionals, where you'll contribute to financial reporting, control frameworks, and strategic decision-making.You will report directly to the Country Finance Director and act as the financial focal point for that particular site, collaborating with internal departments, external suppliers, and the Global Finance Centre (GFC).Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & ControlsLead monthly management reporting and monitor financial controls.Support the Finance Director in improving the quality and reliability of financial data.Drive continuous improvement in accounting and reporting processes.Coordinate the forecasting and budgeting cycles.Site Financial LeadershipServe as the financial contact for the site.Collaborate with the Site Managing Director to promote cost awareness and data-driven decision-making.Working Capital ManagementMonitor inventory levels in relation to business volumes.Review and assess provisions for slow-moving inventory items. Accounts Payable OversightAct as the main point of contact for accounts payable matters.Review invoices and resolve issues affecting the purchase flow or supplier payments.Work closely with Procurement to ensure a smooth Purchase-to-Pay process.Maintain oversight of aged payables and ensure timely resolution.Collaboration & ProjectsLiaise with the Global Finance Centre (GFC) to support process migration and ensure effective collaboration.Act as the key contact for external audits and ensure audit readiness.Candidate ProfileEducation & ExperienceHBO degree in Accounting or Finance.Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting and financial reporting.Solid understanding of IFRS standards.Technical SkillsProficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel is essential.CompetenciesStrong collaboration and communication skills across departments and stakeholders.Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial processes.Fluency in spoken and written English is preferred.
