As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting department by managing various financial tasks and ensuring accurate record-keeping.Process and maintain financial records, including accounts payable and receivableReconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepanciesAssist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsSupport the accounting team during month-end and year-end closing proceduresMaintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documentsCollaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial informationAssist in preparing and analyzing budget reportsPerform data entry and maintain accuracy in all financial recordsSupport senior accounting staff with ad-hoc projects and analysis as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field required1-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeepingProficiency in accounting softwareAdvanced Excel skills and experience with spreadsheet applicationsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in numerical dataExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective written and verbal communication abilitiesSolid understanding of basic accounting principles and practicesAbility to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to multitaskTeam player with a professional demeanour and ability to work independently when requiredFamiliarity with Irish accounting standards and regulations is a plusAdditional InformationThe chance to bring new ideas, interesting areas for development, and taking responsibility early on are some of the key factors that drive Sika's pioneering spiritFriendly, personable and often surprisingly uncomplicated, that's how many of our employees describe their working relationships at Sika.
