JMU Ltd is seeking a full-time detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Clerk to manage client premium follow-ups, reconciliations, and support our financial operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, precision in handling figures and the ability to work closely with multiple teams. Key Responsibilities:
• Reconcile premium ageing lists received from the insurer• Contact clients to follow up on due or overdue premiums, including standing order issues• Monitor standing orders and flag discrepancies or payment failures• Collaborate with the Sales and Operations teams to resolve outstanding premium issues• Escalate persistent non-payment cases to the Sales Team and Head of Operations• Liaise with the insurer’s accounts team to resolve payment reporting discrepancies• Prepare and submit regular internal reports on outstanding premiums, follow-up status and collection progress• Participate in meetings to update on accounts receivable issues and suggest process improvements• Ensure adherence to internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and data confidentiality standardsRequired Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum HSC or equivalent; accounting or finance training is an advantage• 2–3 years’ experience in accounts, credit control, or customer account follow-up roles preferred• Strong verbal communication skills, especially for phone-based client interactions• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling figures and records• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting or CRM systems is a plus• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams• Professionalism, discretion, and a client-oriented approachIf you are analytical, well-organised and committed to delivering accurate and timely results, we’d love to hear from you.
