The Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for processing purchase orders and vendor invoices on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy and procedures. This position reports to the Operations Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesMatches purchase orders confirming prices and quantity to vendors invoicesVerifies receipt of material/services and confirmation of receipt of material/servicesConfirms accuracy of employee reimbursement expenses before processingEnters invoices in the accounting system for payments ensuring correct approval, coding, and matchingCoordinates with vendors regarding invoicing, payment inquiries and discrepanciesResponds to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional mannerProcesses cheque runs and sets up on-line payment batches for the accounting teamEnsures compliance to Company policies and proceduresPerforms other related duties as requiredSkills & QualificationsCollege diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration1–3 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or a related administrative roleProficient with MS Office Suite, particularly ExcelStrong skills in using accounting software applications (Great Plains is an asset or Business Central)A customer focused approach to dealing with internal and external stakeholdersStrong organizational and time management skills to function in a deadline driven environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with employees at various levels of the organizationAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReasons to Apply, Stay and Grow with Emterra GroupOpportunity to be part of one of Canada’s Greenest Employers!Competitive wages!Comprehensive health benefits (health, dental, and more depending on what you choose)!Employee Assistance Program, paid for by the company!Tuition reimbursement program and professional development support!Be part of an entrepreneurial organization that wants to continue to learn and grow!Ability to have an impact and make a change!
