Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Administrator to join our finance team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. This hybrid role requires a presence in our downtown Toronto office three days a week and offers the flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days.Key Responsibilities:Process and review all accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.Verify and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, including checks and electronic funds transfers (EFT).Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation for audits and reporting.Collaborate with internal departments to resolve payment-related inquiries and issues.Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.Support the implementation of process improvements and efficiencies within the accounts payable function.Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.What We Offer:Competitive contract salary.Flexibility of a hybrid work environment.Opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative team.
