Scope And Summary Of Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Accounts Payable & Receivable Analyst is responsible for accurate, timely and compliant processing of financial transactions across Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada programs and departments. This includes managing payments, receipts, and vendor information. This role ensures the integrity of financial operations by ensuring proper recording, reconciliation, and review of transactions, supporting a strong month-end close process and effective internal controls. The Analyst collaborates with Finance colleagues, operational teams, and external vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery and financial compliance in a nonprofit healthcare environment.II. Essential FunctionsAccounts PayableReview invoice, expense report, and credit card transaction detail for accuracy and proper coding (Concur)Follow up with operational staff to resolve coding discrepancies Process ad-hoc invoices (Concur)Process accounts payable transactions for approvalPrepare cheque payments accurately and efficientlyPrepare and review weekly payment registers for approval Manage vendor onboarding, verification, and banking information to ensure accuracy and security Support credit card and employee reimbursement processing Maintain organized AP documentation and ensure compliance with internal authorization policiesAccounts ReceivableGenerate and process invoices for school boards and other programsPost payments, apply cash and follow-up on outstanding balancesAssist with reconciliation of AR balances and customer accountsMonth-End Close & ReportingSupport month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciliations, documentation, and reporting Maintain audit-ready financial records and assist with external audit requestsEnsure financial transactions are recorded accurately and aligned to funding sources and cost centresCollaboration & Customer ServiceWork closely with Finance team members, mangers, and external vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations Respond to internal and external inquiries promptly and professionallyContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance operationsRequirementsEducation & Experience3+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or financial operations Experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, or multi-program environment an assetTechnical SkillsProficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and expense platforms (Concur preferred) Strong Excel skills Soft SkillsStrong attention to detail and organizational ability High level of accuracy with financial data and documentationService-oriented mindset and strong communication skillsAbility to handle high-volume, time-sensitive tasks during peak periodsDemonstrated integrity and willingness to support a mission-driven organizationBenefitsAt VLRC, your work has real impact.
