You’ll take ownership of processing invoices, payments, and financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring everything balances perfectly.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in keeping things organised. By joining our team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organisation and supporting colleagues across departments.Day to day you’ll:Manage the accounts mailbox and process and review invoices, ensuring their accuracy, proper coding, and adherence to company procedures.Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents, resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise.Assist with A/P inquiries from other departments and suppliers, escalate issues as needed to ensure invoices are cleared and paid on time.Processing of employee expense claims on a timely basis.Manage payments to suppliers and conduct ad hoc online banking transactions.Maintain supplier records, including contact information, payment terms, and tax documentation.Reconcile supplier statements, resolving any discrepancies or outstanding issues.Communicate with supplier regarding payment status, inquiries, and discrepancies, ensuring a high level of professionalism.Performing various ad hoc tasks to provide support to the finance team.Collaborate with internal departments, such as Purchasing and Receiving, to resolve any AP-related issues or inquiries.Assist in implementing process improvements and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the AP function.Actively contribute to our company’s commitment to environmental and social responsibility by integrating sustainable practices into everyday work. This includes minimising waste, promoting responsible sourcing, supporting our circular economy initiatives, and encouraging customers and colleagues to make choices that align with our sustainability values. Every team member at NC plays a role in helping us reduce our environmental impact and create a positive legacy for our communities and the planet.About you:High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in accounting or finance is a plus.Proven experience as an AP Assistant or in a similar role, demonstrating knowledge of AP processes and procedures.Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.Excellent organisational and time management abilities, the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines, and the ability to work under pressure, especially at the end of the month.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate professionally with supplier and internal stakeholders.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.Strong ethics and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial and sensitive information.If you have a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a passion for numbers, we invite you to apply and become a valuable member of our finance team.At Nobody’s Child, we are committed to creating an inclusive, diverse and equitable workplace.
