Accounts Payable Specialist

Schiphol Airport Office location Per direct for max. 2 years, fulltimeWe are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support an international organization based at Schiphol Airport for a period of a maximum of 2 years. The role focuses on managing the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, and supporting month-end and quarter-end closings.The finance team provides reporting and insight to management and collaborates closely with Treasury, HR, and Financial Control.Responsibilities• Process and verify incoming and outgoing (intercompany) invoices• Ensure timely and accurate month- and quarter-end closing, including accruals• Manage payment authorization and vendor communication• Maintain VAT administration and reconcile related balance sheet accounts• Manage payroll-related suspense accounts and post salary-related journal entries• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and respond to internal queries• Support process improvements within the finance functionProfile• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or general accounting• Skilled user of Excel and accounting software (SAP experience preferred)• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail• Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch is an advantage• Able to prioritise effectively and stay composed under pressureAssignment details• Location: Schiphol Airport (hybrid work possible)• Duration: maximum 2 years• Start: as soon as possible• Salary 55-65K gross per year, including 8% holiday allowance and benefits
