Acoustics Design Engineer

We are seeking someone who enjoys a ‘hands-on’ approach to design and building solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, specify, and implement audio products & acoustic solutionsDemonstrate acoustical performance by prototyping and simulationsPerform acoustic measurement and validate acoustical system performanceLead and co-operate with partners for high quality executionWork closely with Audio software and DSP teams, as well as mechanical engineers, electronic engineers, and Industrial Design/CMF to optimize the acoustic performanceStay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, contributing insights to the technology strategy and product introductionsExplore, design and prototype new acoustical technologies and audio featuresWhat You BringWe are seeking an individual with excellent understanding in physical acoustics and engineering in developing electroacoustic and electro-mechanical systemsMoreover, you bring:Bachelors or Masters degree in the field of Sciences, such as mechanical engineering, Acoustics, Electrical or other applicable Engineering discipline with emphasis in audio and/or DSPAbility to design, prototype, verify and drive audio hardware systemsUnderstanding of digital signal processing, signals and systems, and audio systems designUnderstanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics and transducersUnderstanding of mechanical and material acousticsProgramming experience with scripting languages (e.g. MATLAB, python)Effective communication skills in EnglishExperience and understanding with acoustic measurements of loudspeakersWhat We OfferAt Bang & Olufsen, our commitment to sonic excellence is at the heart of everything we do.
