Activities Aide

Watsontown Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and creative Activities Aide to join our team. Our Activity Aides are responsible for implementing engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This Position is Full time, Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with one mandatory weekend per month.RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead a variety of recreational activities such as games, exercise arts & crafts, special eventsEncourage and assist residents to participate in activities, providing individual support as neededSet up and clean up activity areas and equipmentTransport residents to and from activitiesDocument resident participation and progressCoordinate with other staff to ensure a positive resident experienceMaintain a safe and positive environment for residentsAssist with other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma/GEDStrong interpersonal, communication and organizational skillsAbility to work with seniors and understand their needsCreativity and EnthusiasmPhysical ability to assist with activities and transport residentsExperience with activities in a healthcare setting is a plus
