Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Technical Leadership & Development Lead the design, development, and integration of Basic Software (BSW) for automotive ECUs based on AUTOSAR architecture. Oversee the configuration and optimization of BSW modules such as MCAL, OS, COM, Diagnostics (DEM, DCM), and bootloader. Provide technical guidance on communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay) and diagnostic services (UDS, ISO14229). Define software architecture, design patterns, and development workflows to improve efficiency and reliability. Conduct code reviews, software validation, and debugging using industry-standard tools. Ensure smooth hardware-software integration with microcontrollers (Infineon, NXP, Renesas).Project & Team Management Lead and mentor a team of Basic Software Engineers, providing training and technical support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application developers, system engineers, and hardware engineers. Coordinate with AUTOSAR tool vendors (Vector DaVinci, EB Tresos, ETAS ISOLAR, KSAR) for software configuration. Plan and manage project timelines, task allocations, and deliverables. Ensure the team follows ASPICE-compliant development processes.Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and other automotive software standards. Define and implement software testing strategies (Unit Test, Integration Test, SIL, HIL). Maintain documentation for software architecture, design specifications, and test reports.Work location : Tokyo (or nagoya)RequirementsJP N1Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in embedded software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong expertise in AUTOSAR BSW, MCAL configuration, and embedded C programming. Experience with AUTOSAR RTE, OS, and diagnostics. Proficiency in debugging tools (Lauterbach, Trace32, CANoe, CANalyzer, Oscilloscope). Knowledge of RTOS (OSEK, AUTOSAR OS, FreeRTOS) and bootloader development. Understanding of ASPICE and ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements. Experience with scripting languages (Python, CAPL) and model-based development (MATLAB/Simulink) is a plus.Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in leading automotive ECU software development projects. Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to drive process improvements and innovation in embedded software development.
