Job TitleSales Manager/Director – Korea (Aviation, Defense & Aftermarket)Location Seoul, Korea(WFH - Working From Home/재택가능)About our ClientA global leader in aviation aftermarket solutions, specializing in spare parts distribution, MRO services, and supply chain support for both civil and military aerospace sectors. The company works closely with OEMs, defense contractors, airlines, and MRO providers to deliver comprehensive solutions across the aviation lifecycle. Objective: The Senior Sales Manager – Korea will lead sales and business development initiatives in the Korean aerospace and defense markets.

This role focuses on military and defense aviation spare parts sales, aftermarket services, and long-term account management. The ideal candidate will bring extensive industry knowledge, established networks in both civil and defense aviation sectors, and a proven track record in driving complex B2B sales. Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business DevelopmentDrive sales activities for military and defense aviation spare parts, including campaign-based sales of spares, retrofits, upgrades, and MRO services. Manage and grow key customer accounts across defense organizations, military aviation programs, OEMs, airlines, and MRO providers.

Develop and negotiate bids and proposals that are compliant with defense procurement regulations and aligned with corporate strategies. Collaborate with principal suppliers, manufacturers, and technical partners to create competitive solutions. Identify and pursue new market opportunities in both military and civil aviation segments. 2. Account Management & Customer SupportBuild long-term strategic relationships with key stakeholders at multiple levels within customer organizations. Work closely with internal teams including Product Line Management, Customer Service, and Technical Support to resolve customer issues promptly. Monitor customer aftermarket needs and recommend tailored solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and account growth. 3.

Sales Forecasting & Performance ManagementManage the full sales cycle, from pipeline development to closure, focusing on achieving and exceeding sales targets. Provide accurate sales forecasts, quarterly reforecasts, and performance analysis to regional leadership. Recommend stock items and new product lines/agency partnerships based on market intelligence and customer demand. 4. Market Intelligence & CollaborationStay updated on aerospace and defense industry trends, government procurement policies, competitor activities, and fleet changes. Coordinate with logistics and finance departments on matters such as shipment discrepancies, certifications, and payment follow-ups. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote solutions and strengthen relationships. 5.

Other ResponsibilitiesSupport cross-functional initiatives and assist with other commercial activities as assigned by management. Travel domestically and internationally as required for customer engagement and business development. Key RequirementsExperience10+ years of experience in aerospace and defense industry sales, with a focus on military aviation spare parts, aftermarket sales, and MRO solutions. Proven success in managing government and defense-related accounts in Korea. Experience working with OEMs, defense contractors, military maintenance units, and related procurement agencies is highly desirable. EducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Skills & CompetenciesDeep understanding of defense and civil aviation procurement processes. Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to develop customized value propositions. Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of PowerBI is a plus. Experience with ERP systems (preferably Pentagon2000) is desirable. Fluent in Korean and English (written and verbal).
