Technology development/Process scale-up & Engineering and must have blend/exposure of R&D in his career. Strong domain expertise in Chemical processes fundamental, experience in the area of Process development, Desing & Simulations, Process Scale-up & Engineering – Non-negotiable. Industrial experience in the Specialty chemicals/Chlorine/phosphorous/Epoxy/polymer Industry. Skills-Process Improvement, Process Development, Process Troubleshooting is a must. Scale Up/Piloting Experience is a must. ASPEN process modeling experience is a must. CFD exposure is a plus. Basic knowledge of Organic & Inorganic Synthesis and Polymer Chemistry is required.
The role requires a strong focus on process equipment and unit operation performance improvements. This includes expertise in reactors, separation systems (distillation, filtration, extractor, absorber, adsorber, etc. ), heat exchangers, etc. The responsibilities extend to process improvement, scale-up, and process engineering, covering conceptual and basic engineering, along with equipment rating and design, process flow diagrams (PFD), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), etc. In addition to technical proficiency, the role requires strong soft skills, such as building relationships with stakeholders and conducting plant visits to understand customer needs.
Role critically requires addressing technical challenges, and drive process improvements starting from R&D based technical solution development and use of process engineering approach with plant implementation mindset. Education & Experience – M. Tech (Chemical Engineering) with 5 to 8 years of experience.
